Hi there. My name is Yvette and I am trying to figure out what is takes to be a writer. You might think that just because I have this blog, that makes me a writer… but this blog is all about discovering what being a writer actually means to me. You’ll find my manifesto of sorts in the first blog entry.

I also maintain a website dedicated to geek culture and what it means to be a geek at www.innergeek.us. On my innergeek blog, I write about geeky topics and my personal life as a geek girl. I started the Kinetic Writer blog because I wanted a place to be more candid about the craft of writing and my specific journey into this profession.
